A work-study student is needed to organize and edit digital images of scientific subjects provided by the supervisor. Tasks may include, but are not limited to; cropping images and adjusting contrast and color, uploading images and content to biology course websites, updating the Science Dept. web and social media sites, web-based research related to online learning resources and on other institutions’ Natural Resources programs and articulation agreements.
The work study student is required to have a intermediate to high level of computer competency, familiarity with common image organizing and processing software for the web (e.g. Photoshop, GIMP, Photo sharing sites (e.g. Picasa, Flickr, Photobucket, etc.), experience with Facebook and/or other social media is helpful and some experience with online learning. Enthusiasm, creativity, and a willingness to learn are desired. Some web development experience is preferred.
Pay Rate: $9.50 / hr
