The UCC Career Network - Guidelines
Guidelines for a successful UCC Career Network experience:
- Use the UCC Career Network with professionalism.
- Represent yourself and/or UCC with the highest standards.
- Dress appropriately.
- Be courteous.
- Arrive on time for the appointment.
- Listen actively.
- Thank your mentor at the conclusion of an interview or activity.
- Be conscientious of the mentor's time.
- Be organized.
- Prepare questions in advance.
- Make sure your resume is perfected.
- Only discuss job possibilities if the subject is brought up by your mentor.
- Follow up. A thank you letter or e-mail is a professional way to show gratitude and is always appreciated.
- When using the UCC Career Network, never misuse, sell or give away contact information.
These guidelines are designed to make the UCC Career Network experience rewarding and beneficial for all members. If it is determined any member has used the network inappropriately, membership will be revoked.
