Manufacturing Plant Electrician Apprenticeship

The apprenticeship agreement combines both on-the-job experience and classroom related training instruction over a period of four years. A minimum of 144 hours of related training per year is recommended.

Job Description
Manufacturing plant electricians provide basic electrical maintenance on existing equipment in factories and industrial manufacturing facilities.

Working Conditions

The work is done primarily indoors, but often requires climbing, working on ladders, and operating mechanical lifts.

Statewide: $32.97/Hr.     Douglas County: $22.61/Hr.

Minimum Requirements for Application

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent
  • One year of high school algebra or the equivalent post high school algebra course with a passing grade of ´C.´
  • Local apprenticeship committees may require additional qualifications.
