(ENG 202, CRN 36399)
Convenient Class Time (Monday and Wednesday evenings, 5:30-6:45 pm)
Don’t be Afraid of Shakespeare!!! This class makes Shakespeare accessible and fun!!!
Study the writings by Shakespeare in new, fun and exciting ways: Hamlet, As You Like It, Much Ado About Nothing, Richard III & The Sonnets.
Who should take Shakespeare? Of course English and Theater majors and other students interested in great drama and poetry, but also students who are interested in history, philosophy, sociology, gender studies, communication studies, psychology, and many other subjects. The course is especially valuable for transfer students, helping to hone reading, writing, and critical thinking skills, and introducing theoretical approaches that are used in many liberal arts disciplines.

Winter Schedule 2013
WHY THIS SCHEDULE LOOKS DIFFERENT:
We’re Saving Money!
AS A COMMUNITY COLLEGE COMMITTED to fiscal responsibility, we are always looking for ways to better manage expenses. The winter schedule is evidence of our ongoing efforts in this area.
Over the years, this schedule has proved to be our most efficient and cost-effective means of sharing information about our upcoming classes. By sending this to Douglas County residences, we ensure all those interested in furthering their education have easy access to our many offerings.
We have researched other ways to disseminate this information, including distributing schedules to retail outlets throughout the
county, then mailing notices to Douglas County homes to let students/ prospective students know where to pick one up.
These alternatives simply do not save enough to warrant the potential hardships they might cause which could result in far fewer people having access to our classes.
There is still no better way to get information in your hands than mailing you this schedule. That said, we have made a concerted effort to reduce the expenses associated with this piece. We have reduced the number of pages in the schedule, printed them on newsprint and eliminated any use of color. In fact we were able to add back information on the credit-bearing classes you told us you missed in the last edition.
THESE CHANGES HAVE RESULTED IN SIGNIFICANT COST SAVINGS.
While our new schedule may not be as eye-catching as it has been in the past, we are confident you will be happy with the tradeoff in cost savings, knowing your community college is committed to using tax dollars wisely.
