ASUCC Constitution

Article VI—Academic Standing for ASUCC Officer, ASUCC Senator and ASUCC Club Representative Positions

Section 1—ASUCC Officers

ASUCC Executive Council officers must meet the following academic requirements for holding office:

  1. Maintain enrollment in a minimum of nine (9) credit hours per quarter (fall, winter and spring) at Umpqua Community College.
  2. Complete a minimum of nine (9) credit hours per quarter. Completed credits shall be defined as a grade of A, B, C, D or P in each class counted toward the nine (9) credit hour requirement. Incomplete grades require a plan of action for completion. The plan of action must be signed by the student and faculty member, and submitted to the ASUCC Advisor no later than the first week of the following quarter. Failure to complete the plan of action may result in termination.
  3. Earn a quarterly grade point average (G.P.A.) of 2.50 for fall, winter and spring quarters.
  4. Maintain a cumulative grade point average (G.P.A.) of 2.50 for all quarters serving in office (summer, fall, winter and spring).

Section 2—ASUCC Senators

ASUCC senators must meet the following academic requirements for holding office:

  1. Maintain enrollment in a minimum of six (6) credit hours per quarter (fall, winter and spring) at Umpqua Community College.
  2. Complete a minimum of six (6) credit hours per quarter. Completed credits shall be defined as a grade of A, B, C, D, S, or P in each class counted toward the six (6) credit hour requirement. Incomplete grades require a plan of action for completion. The plan of action must be signed by the student and faculty member, and submitted to the ASUCC Advisor no later than the first week of the following quarter. Failure to complete the plan of action may result in termination.
  3. Maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.50 for all quarters serving in office (fall, winter and spring).

Section 3—ASUCC Club Representatives

ASUCC club representatives must meet the following academic requirements for holding office:

  1. Maintain enrollment in a minimum of three (3) credit hours per quarter (fall, winter and spring) when serving.
  2. Maintain any other requirements listed in his or her respective ASUCC Student Organization or ASUCC Student Club constitution and/or bylaws.
