Article XI—ASUCC Student Leadership Team

Section 1—The Structure

  1. The ASUCC Student Leadership Team shall consist of the President, Executive Vice President, Vice President of Student Activities, Public Relations Officer, Secretary/Business Manager, Senators, and Club Representatives.
  2. There shall be an advisor serving in an ex officio capacity.
  3. Each member of the ASUCC Student Leadership Team shall have one vote.
  4. There shall be no absentee or proxy voting.
  5. The ASUCC Student Leadership Team shall meet weekly during the academic year, with the exception of vacations, holidays and finals week.
  6. The ASUCC Student Leadership Team shall meet once per term for a planning session.

Section 2—The Powers

  1. The ASUCC Student Leadership Team shall review the qualifications of persons nominated for membership on the ASUCC Student Leadership Team.
  2. The ASUCC Student Leadership Team shall have the power to initiate amendments to the Constitution, to amend or alter the Bylaws and create new policies concerning ASUCC.
  3. The ASUCC Student Leadership Team shall have the power to determine the policies and activities and have general management of the ASUCC.
  4. The ASUCC Student Leadership Team shall have the power to call special and general elections.
  5. The ASUCC Student Leadership Team shall require all officers and members of ASUCC Student Leadership Team to comply with the provisions of this Constitution and Bylaws.
  6. The ASUCC Student Leadership Team shall have the power to remove from office any ASUCC Student Leadership Team member who is not fulfilling the responsibility of their office.
  7. The ASUCC Student Leadership Team shall have the power to take action necessary to carry out the functions of the Student Leadership Team, which do not conflict with the Constitution and its Bylaws.
  8. The ASUCC Student Leadership Team shall have the power and authority to approve all clubs and organizations and their constitutions.
  9. The ASUCC Student Leadership Team shall make recommendations to the college administration concerning the welfare of the students.
  10. The ASUCC Student Leadership Team shall have the power to appoint a Student Senator to the offices of Public Relations Officer or Secretary/Business Manager in the event of a vacancy of those positions.
  11. The ASUCC Student Leadership Team shall have the power to motivate and organize students on any issue concerning the ASUCC.
  12. The President shall have the power to call an executive session.
  13. Any action by the President may be overridden by a two thirds vote of all ASUCC Student Leadership Team members at or before the next regular ASUCC Student Leadership Team meeting.
  14. Executive officers may evaluate any ASUCC Student Leadership Team positions as deemed appropriate by the ASUCC Student Leadership Team.
