HOW DO I KNOW WHEN I’VE BEEN AWARDED?
» When your award package is complete, you will receive an Award Letter through your Riverhawk web email.
Be sure that you are checking that often.
I’ve been awarded – Now what?
»Make sure that you accept what you want and decline what you do not want to accept.
This can be done online or by printing out your award letter, signing it and bringing it into the Financial Aid office.
» If this is your first time accepting loans make sure you follow the instructions in the first paragraph of your award letter.
AFTER I’VE BEEN AWARDED, HOW DO I KNOW IF MY AID HAS BEEN DISBURSED?
» The day that your loans and/or grants are applied to your account is
not necessarily the day that a check is available for you.
You can check the disbursement of your aid by:
¨ Selecting the ‘Award’ link in the Financial Aid area of the Self Service Banner
¨ Clicking on ‘Account Summary by Term’
- When aid has been applied to your account, the aid (Pell Grant, Subsidized Loan, etc.) will be listed as a payment in your account summary
- After your account has been paid, any remaining amount will be listed as a Refund on your account summary
- Checks are either direct deposited into your account or mailed to you
