Career Network
Umpqua Community College is committed to providing students a variety of career services and resources. Students can access the following in the Advising and Career Service Center (ACSC) in the Campus Center building during regular business hours. Some resources are also available online.
Career counseling aids students in selecting a course of study and may help them decide on a career that is suited to their aptitude, personality, interest and skills. It is a process of making an effective correlation between the internal psychology of a candidate with the external factors of employability and courses. Experiential Learning
Experiential Learning opportunities include informational interviews, job shadowing, internships, and cooperative work experience.
Through the federal Job Location and Development Program (JLD), our Job Placement staff identifies employment opportunities for students who want to work regardless if they are eligible for federal student aid. Part-time and full-time vacancies are posted in the Job Placement office and also online. Posting are located in the Center and program registration is required.
