Achieve the Dream

WHAT IS ACHIEVE THE DREAM?

Achieving the Dream (ATD) is a multiyear, national initiative to help community colleges support all students in successfully achieving their goals. ATD also helps institutions use data for decision making.atd-tutoring-pic

Umpqua Community College joined ATD in 2013 and assembled a core team. The ATD team has been working on four key initiatives:

  • Priority One: Improve college readiness by strengthening placement, orientation, pre-college partnerships, communication and information dissemination.
  • Priority Two: Strengthen Intrusive Advising campus wide to help students more effectively achieve their goals.
  • Priority Three: Increase successful course completion in developmental education courses.
  • Priority Four: Pull together all separate student success initiatives so all are streamlined and organized under one umbrella.
