Pathways Certificate
The Surveying Pathways Certificate provides an opportunity for career advancement for employees already working in the field through technical training, provides a career and educational pathway for high school students interested in surveying or engineering, and provides a career and educational pathway for people desiring a technical position in surveying and engineering.
Coursework includes two courses in AutoCAD, one course in Civil3D, and trigonometry, with a combined 17 credit hours of courses. Students completing the pathways certificate will be prepared for an entry level position on a surveying field crew.
The required courses for the pathways certificate are included in the one-year completion certificate for Engineering and Drafting Technician and two-year AAS program for Civil Engineering and Surveying Technology. Students completing the drafting pathways certificate may continue with the one-year completion certificate, two-year AAS, or two-year Engineering Transfer program (depending on math level), if desired.
