A Certificate Program at Umpqua Community College
The UCC one-year Medical Billing and Collections Clerk Certificate prepares students for entry-level positions as outpatient medical coding specialists. Students take courses that provide them with the basic competencies to begin a career as a medical coding specialist. The curriculum is designed to prepare the future medical coding specialist with both a theoretical understanding of the profession and the practical skills necessary to succeed.
