UCC SBDC offers classes in QuickBooks 2008

Winchester -- The Umpqua Community College Small Business Development Center is offering a series of QuickBooks 2008 trainings. Classes will be held Saturdays on the UCC Campus, Wayne Crooch Hall in Room 12.

• April 25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m -- QuickBooks Basics, $68 CRN # 44877. Keep your books in order with the most widely-used small business accounting software. Learn how to set up a company file, build a chart of accounts, enter check and cash transactions, reconcile bank statements, study accounts payable and accounts receivable, create reports, track inventory and more. Class is self-paced.
• May 2 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. -- Payroll for QuickBooks, $53 CRN #44878. Build on to basics and master payroll. Focus will be on processing paychecks, preparing tax forms, running payroll reports and more.
• May 16 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. -- Beyond Basics QuickBooks, $53 CRN # 44880. An especially useful section to business owners interested in creating job estimates and job budgets. Participants will be introduced to topics such as job income and expenses, and tracking time and costs per job.
