Flora Hewlett/Lois Best Memorial Scholarship: Chapter ES of PEO
Deadline: May 16, 2014 at 4:00pm
- Students must be full-time (12 credits or more) each term of the 2014-15 academic year
- Students must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Preference is given to those that can demonstrate financial need and overcoming a hardship
- Students must have completed/will complete 36 college credits by the end of spring term of the 2013-14 academic year and be starting their second year in the fall of 2014-15
- Students must be female
- Students must submit two (2) letters of reference
- Students must submit college transcripts with application showing all undergraduate work
National Federation of the Blind
Amount: $3000 to $12,000
To recognize achievement by blind scholars, the National Federation of the Blind annually offers blind college students in the United States and Puerto Rico the opportunity to win one of thirty merit-based, national-level scholarships worth from $3,000 to $12,000. All scholarships awarded are based on academic excellence, community service, and leadership.

Roseburg Rotary Club Scholarship
Amount: $1,000 to $1,500
Deadline: April 3, 2014
Scholarship applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Colleges or universities other than UCC
- must have at least a 3.5 GPA UCC (as a Freshman)
- must have at least a 3.0 GPA
- Second year at UCC
- must have at least a 3.0 GPA
- be enrolled full-time
- have completed 36 college credits
- have a second year standing
Scholarship that are awarded based upon “Need” are for all applicants that feel they have a valid “Need” basis. Applicants must list the reason for the “Need” in the About You section of the application. NO GPA IS REQUIRED FOR NEED.

Leslie S. Parker Memorial Scholarship
Deadline: Apr. 30, 2014
Scholarships are awarded to worthy female students who have completed at least two years of satisfactory college work and are residents of Oregon. Students enrolled in Graduate Programs of Study are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates must be recommended by at least two (2) administrators or professors familiar with her: Dean of School, Professor of student’s major department, Dean of Women, and in the case of transfer for graduate studies, student’s advisor recommendation from the last institution attended. Candidates must write a PERSONAL LETTER to accompany the application packet, addressed to the Chairperson of the Leslie S. Parker Committee. Your application together with the full academic record and required recommendations must be received by the Chairperson of the Leslie S. Parker Memorial Scholarship Committee no later than April 30, 2014.
