Roseburg— Umpqua Community College’s Woolley Adult Basic Education Center is looking for volunteer tutors to work with GED students on math, writing, reading and English as a Second Language. Qualities essential for a good tutor are patience, discretion, flexibility, good verbal and written communication skills, ability to respond to the changing needs of the student and an open, friendly manner. No prior teaching experience is necessary. Training will be provided. Tutors work directly with students to help them reach their educational goals. The Woolley Adult Basic Education Center is located at 1634 W. Harvard, Roseburg.
