Winchester— The Oregon Musical Theatre Festival at Umpqua Community College is offering a workshop, “Let There Be Light-An Introduction to Theatrical Lighting” on Wednesday, July 30, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Centerstage at Umpqua Community College, in the Whipple Fine Arts Building. Cost is $38, and the instructor is Kelsey Anglin, local respected lighting designer and former manager of the UCC’s Jacoby Auditorium. To register, call 440-7744 and ask for course number 14912.
Are you an actor or performer? Does your group put on shows? If so, then Let There Be Light is for you. This three hour workshop, hosted to Oregon Musical Theatre Festival lighting designer Kelsey Anglin, focuses on several aspects: how light works, theatrical lighting, and tips and tricks for lighting different types of shows. This workshop will help you gain the knowledge and resources to light your own shows. No previous lighting or theatre experience is necessary to attend.
