UCC Needs Tutors for Upward Bound Program

Winchester — Umpqua Community College’s Upward Bound program is looking for tutors to assist 50 high school age participants in a variety of academic areas, including mathematics, science, English and global studies.

Tutoring times include after school, evenings, and Friday and Saturday mornings. Locations for tutoring are Douglas High School, Roseburg High School, and occasionally on the UCC campus. Compensation is available.

Upward Bound is a federally-funded program designed to provide support to participants for college entrance. The program provides opportunities for participants to succeed in their pre-college performance and ultimately in their higher education pursuits.
