Business Tech Retail Service
A One Year Certificate Program at UCC
This certificate program is designed to prepare students for entry level jobs in the retail and service industries. This program emphasizes the technical and interpersonal skills necessary to achieve customer satisfaction and value added service. This one year program dovetails nicely with high school marketing/retail programs. The required courses in this program are included in the AAS Business Technology Marketing degree, so any student who wishes may continue in the two year Marketing program.
To obtain the Retail Service Certificate, you must successfully complete 48 units of required courses, including 6 credits in Cooperative Work Experience (CWE) Marketing.
Employment Outlook
According to the Oregon Department of Labor, the projected growth rate in this industry state wide is expected to exceed 15% over the next 10 years.
